About Me
My name is Emma and I am a massive dog lover. I own 2 German Shepherd cross-breeds called Rex (13 yrs old) and Soltan (11 yrs old) who are both rescue dogs.
I competed in obedience competitions with Rex when he was younger and we won many trophies and rosettes. Rex is also a registered dog for Pets as Therapy (a charity that visits hospitals, hospices, nursing homes etc. to help enhance peoples lives with a visit from a dog that just loves lots of attention), and we currently visit a nursing home in Nuneaton which gives great enjoyment to the residents, Rex and myself.
When I took on Soltan he suffered with nervous aggression to a high degree. He was scared of people and dogs that he didn't know. I had completed a course on dog psychology so was able to help Soltan overcome his fears and I'm pleased to say that his nervous aggression has improved dramatically. I also took Soltan to obedience training classes for a few years which proved very beneficial for him.
My Job
I am a fully qualified and insured dog groomer. I have been professionally trained to a high standard. I am also a qualified canine first aider.
I am a mobile dog groomer, so I travel to clients' homes to groom their much-loved dogs. Many dogs do not like being taken to a busy grooming salon because they are around lots of other dogs, it's too noisy or they don't like being away from their owners for long periods of time, so by grooming the dog in the comfort of their own home they will be much more calm and relaxed with the whole experience. Also, many owners don't want to travel to the grooming salon or they don't want to leave their dog there for various reasons so by visiting their homes they feel more relaxed knowing that they can be around their dog while they are being groomed.
